Moore Taylor’s Williams elected to Public Service Commission
July 9, 2018Moore Taylor Law Firm announces that Justin T. Williams, an associate attorney, has been elected to the 6th District Public Service Commission by the South Carolina General Assembly. Williams has left Moore Taylor to serve as one of seven commissioners who each represent a South Carolina Congressional District. His term commences on July 2, 2018 with investiture scheduled for August 15.
At Moore Taylor, Williams worked as one of two litigation associates and practiced in the areas of civil litigation, workers’ compensation and criminal defense. He also serves as a Captain and Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve. Williams earned his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina, where he served as Student Body President.

Williams attributes his success as a trial lawyer to his experience as a prosecutor and studying trial practice under Moore Taylor lawyers Jake Moore and Stanley Myers.
