More than $730 Million in Stimulus Funds so Far

CHARLESTON, SC – October 14, 2009 – State programs and agencies have now received more than $730 million in federal stimulus money, with more than two thirds of the funds going to state agencies that pay Medicaid and unemployment benefits. Here’s a breakdown:

  • $5,908,000 – Dept. of Transportation
  • $3,263,438 – Dept. of Health and Environmental Control

  • $294,000 – Vocational Rehabilitation
