Motley Rice Expands Securities Team’s Capabilities
April 20, 2011MT. PLEASANT, SC – April 20, 2011 – Motley Rice is proud to announce that Adam W. Foulke, Director of Business Analysis, has earned the Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the world’s largest anti-fraud organization.
After meeting extensive experience-related criteria and passing an four-part exam demonstrating knowledge in four areas essential to identifying fraud — fraudulent financial transactions, criminology and ethics, the legal elements of fraud, and fraud investigation, he was sworn in as certified.
As a CFE, Foulke has the ability to examine financial records to find and trace fraudulent transactions, write investigative reports, advise clients and testify at trial. He has a keen understanding of securities fraud and the factors that motivate people to commit fraud. Foulke joins the ranks of examiners that have investigated more than 1 million suspected cases of civil and criminal fraud.
“Fraud is a global problem. The ACFE estimates that the typical organization loses five percent of its revenue due to fraud. Applying this metric to Gross World Product, we come to a staggering $2.9 trillion of potential annual fraud losses. Adding the CFE credential to my quiver helps us advance our fraud loss prevention and recovery strategies for clients,” said Foulke who works with the securities litigation team to analyze the securities markets, develop cases, track actions and monitor clients’ investment portfolios for potential losses due to fraud.
“Adam’s hard work and continued dedication to uncovering fraud is instrumental in helping our securities team provide high standards of service to our clients. Adam earning the CFE greatly expands our forensic abilities and allows us to serve our current and potential clients with new perspective and skills,” said Motley Rice securities and consumer fraud practice group leader, Bill Narwold.
