Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce welcomes new Membership Coordinator to help chamber grow

The Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce (MPCC) announced that Jaydee Wood has joined the team as its new Membership Coordinator. A proud Lowcountry native, Jaydee brings a deep understanding of the local community and a diverse professional background to her new role.

Born and raised in Summerville, SC, Jaydee has always been deeply connected to the region. She earned her Associate’s degree in Paralegal Studies from Trident Technical College before continuing her education at the College of Charleston, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Studies with a concentration in Applied Communication.

Jaydee’s career has spanned several industries, including government, legal services, and marketing. She has held roles as a Clerk for Charleston County Government and as a Paralegal, before transitioning into the marketing field. Most recently, she served as Marketing Director for a local agency, where she earned recognition for her work, including the 2023 Charleston American Marketing Association Spark Award for Best E-Newsletter.

“I am excited to join the MPCC and look forward to working alongside such a vibrant and engaged community,” said Wood. “I am committed to helping local businesses thrive and ensuring that the Chamber continues to be a valuable resource for its members.”

As Membership Coordinator, Jaydee will play a key role in fostering relationships with members of the MPCC, supporting local businesses, and enhancing the overall member experience.

“The MPCC is fortunate that Jaydee has joined our team,”said MPCC Executive Director Rebecca Imholz. “We know her unique blend of local insight, professional experience and marketing expertise will be an asset to both the MPCC and the greater East Cooper business community.”
