MPA Strategies Director of Development, Adrienne Patrick, secures federal grant for the City of Westminster
August 29, 2022Adrienne Patrick, Director of Development at MPA Strategies, recently secured a grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) to develop a Downtown Master Plan for the City of Westminster.
The ARC awarded the grant to develop a downtown master plan to guide the City of Westminster in making strategic investments to revitalize its central business district. The plan will provide guidance for catalyst projects including Main Street streetscape, conceptual ideas for the reuse of a former school site, and the re-imagination of a sloped area that connects the downtown to an adjacent neighborhood. ARC funds will be used to procure a consultant to develop this plan.
The ARC award is for $32,000 and matched by the City’s $32,000 to a total of $64,000.
“We appreciate the ARC’s investment in our City with these funds. As we continue to improve and enhance our City, this downtown master plan will help us to be strategic in what we do to attract and maximize the investments of businesses in our downtown. It will also aide in creating more shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities for our residents and visitors. I am thankful for a Council, Staff, and City Administrator who are dedicated to investing in the future needs and beautification of our unique Main Street district.” stated Westminster’s Mayor, Brian Ramey.
Adrienne Patrick serves as MPA Strategies Director of Development and is a Certified Grants Writer.
