Multiple Listing Service of Hilton Head Island’s Member Services Associate completes Supra Certification

Multiple Listing Service of Hilton Head Island (HHIMLS) Member Services Associate Phillip Kent recently became one of the only multiple listing service staff members in South Carolina to obtain Supra Master User Certification.

Supra creates key and lock technology that can be useful to property managers and real estate agents. The key management systems allow agents and managers to track and record the showing of homes and control the level of access that is given to each property. The certification represents a high degree of proficiency when it comes to understanding and using these products for the benefit of potential new homeowners.

“The certification helped me more thoroughly understand Supra,” said Phillip Kent, member services associate of HHIMLS. “I learned some things about the products and Supra’s processes that will allow me to better assist the members with Supra-related issues.”

In order to obtain a certification, Kent completed a two-day training event at Supra’s headquarters in Salem, Ore., where he met the staff, toured the manufacturing facilities, and learned about how different products work. About 50 multiple listing service staff members attend this program every year.

“It is great to have a staff member that now understands and can implement this technology into our listing service,” said Colette Stevenson, chief executive officer of HHIMLS. “Phillip being the first agent in South Carolina to achieve Supra certification demonstrates the emphasis we put on continuing education so we can provide the best possible service.”

Kent graduated from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, N.C. He was previously employed at AMS Auto Group in Charlotte in the marketing and business development department. Kent sought out a member services associate position at HHIMLS, where he does anything from technical support, assisting prospective members with the on-boarding process, and various in-house duties.
