Mungo Shines at Annual Pinnacle Ceremonies

COLUMBIA, SC – February 16, 2009 – The Mungo Companies were big winners at the recent 2008 Pinnacle Awards.
Mungo Construction received a Merit Award for the Rosewood Hills project. These new homes in Columbia start in the mid-$100s and are part of a revitalization project by the Columbia Housing Authority.
The Mungo Company was recognized for Best Web site for a Builder/Developer for the corporate site, which features all five of the Mungo new home building companies.
Sovereign Homes, the Mungo company that builds new luxury custom and semi-custom homes, received an award for Best Interior Merchandising for the model home at Lakeport Carriage Homes.
Lakeport, a Mungo Company development, also took honors for Best Community Entrance/Presentation, Best Logo Design, and Best Web site for a Community. Lakeport is located off Johnson Marina Road in Ballentine and new homes start in the high $200s.
On hand to accept the awards were Matt Mungo of Mungo Construction and Marketing Director Kim Finney, who said, “It’s wonderful for the family of companies to be recognized for the hard work that goes into the building, sales and marketing of each new home. Everything we do at Mungo is a collaborative effort.”
Based on the qualities of integrity, value and quality, the Mungo family has been building new homes and communities since 1954, and is South Carolina’s most award-winning builder.
Sponsored by the Home Builders Association of South Carolina, the Pinnacle Awards ceremony was held on February 12 in Charleston.
