Leading cities and counties around the country leverage AI-powered chat technology

Citibot, America’s first interactive text messaging and customer service solution for civic engagement, today announced that leading municipalities are turning to its solutions to better engage with their communities. Citibot is a communication tool for citizens and their governments. Using text messaging, Citibot helps residents get answers to questions, make service requests, send personalized messages and receive notifications.

“We’re always looking for ways to put technology to work and offer our residents easier ways to report and resolve issues in their neighborhoods,” said Jay Warren, director of communication and legislative affairs for the City of Arlington. “With Citibot, one text is all it takes to streamline the reporting process for residents, allowing them to make The American Dream City a better place to live, learn, work and play.”

The following municipalities have recently implemented Citibot:

  • Ft. Worth, Texas – the 13th largest US city, will use Citibot to streamline the reporting process for residents.
  • Boulder, Colorado – aims to make the city more accessible by enabling people to receive text messages on topics that matter to them and communicate directly with city staff.
  • Arlington, Texas – enhances its Action Center to handle more customer service requests at scale through the Citibot AI technology.
  • Chamblee, Georgia – is using Citibot to augment other communication channels and provide high quality customer service.

The following municipalities have recently selected Citibot: Charleston, South Carolina; Queen Creek, Arizona; and Tukwila, Washington.

Based in Charleston, SC, Citibot LLC was formed in 2016 with a mission of making cities and counties accessible for all. Bratton Riley, Citibot’s co-founder and CEO, was inspired by the evolution of the conversational chatbot and its ability to help governments be more accessible and accountable to every citizen.

“We are honored to work with these innovative municipalities to help them better serve their constituents,” said Riley. “By leveraging artificial intelligence and mobile technology, Citibot provides a new 24/7 option for community members to get the information they need in their day to day lives, wherever they are.”
