Music in Vance Park
September 27, 2021It was a beautiful day for a concert in the park.
Sunday afternoon about one hundred people came out to Vance Park in Clinton for a concert that was performed out of a truck. More specifically, the concert truck.
The Concert Truck is a 16-foot box truck converted into a fully functioning concert hall. Click here to see it happen.
The musicians, pianists Nick Luby and Susan Zhang played from their 16-foot box truck for over an hour to a captivated audience. In his remarks between pieces, Luby shared information about their musical road trip. Since November they have completed more than 200 performances. The mission of the Concert Truck is to strengthen communities by redefining the concert experience and making live music accessible to everyone.
The event was sponsored by Explore Clinton, Newberry Opera House, Newberry Arts for All, and CNNGA. Flowers on the tables were provided Clinton Canopy.
