Mustard N’ Relish Welcomes Aimee Murray – USC Student Wins Coveted Slot Thanks to Superior Writing Skills

(Columbia, SC) June 5, 2007 –Aimee Murray has joined the full-service marketing communications firm Mustard N’ Relish for a summer internship, edging out several other candidates for the spot.
Murray, a senior at The University of South Carolina (USC) in Columbia, and a native of Goose Creek, SC plans to graduate in December with a degree in public relations and is looking forward to the opportunity to intern with Mustard N’ Relish.
“I’m extremely excited about getting the opportunity to work with such an awesome group of professionals in a creative and flourishing business. I can’t wait to get started,” said Murray.
Managed by business partners Bo McDonald and Jeff Ranta, Mustard N’ Relish was interested in Murray because of her exceptional writing skills and professionalism.
“I met Aimee while I was teaching an introduction to public relations class and followed her student career through two more semesters before offering her an opportunity to come work for us at MNR. We are very pleased to have her here and I am excited about having her writing talents in our firm,” said Ranta.
Also a resident advisor at USC, Murray was a member of USC’s 2007 Bateman Team, a hand-selected group of students who compete nationally against other university teams in planning and implementing local public relations campaigns for a single client.
USC fielded two teams this year to compete in the contest sponsored by the Public Relations Student Society of America or PRSSA. This year the client was a home health-care-provider web site (family care giving 101) sponsored by Eisai pharmaceuticals.
Murray and her teammates took one of 12 honorable mention spots among the sixty-three plus teams entered in the contest. USC’s Bateman teams have won four first place slots as well as capturing one third and several honorable mention wins as well over the past five years in competition.
