Myrtle Beach Realtor® Terry White receives 2015 Distinguished Service Award

COLUMBIA, SC –   Terry White, South Carolina REALTOR® (SCR) member and owner of White Realty in Myrtle Beach, received the association’s Distinguished Service Award at its 2015 annual conference and expo at the Hilton Head Marriott Resort and Spa, September 13, 2015.

The Distinguished Service Award recognizes Realtor® members and executive officers who go above and beyond in exemplary and outstanding service. SCR’s Awards committee chooses the individual to be recognized for their outstanding and ongoing voluntary commitments to the association.

Terry White served multiple terms as SCR director, more than 10 years on the SCR Legislative Committee and is a past president of SCR

On a national level, he has served as a National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) director and has received the prestigious Omega Tau Rho award. At his local association, he has served as a director and twice as president. He also served  on the Grievance Committee and the Professional Standards Committee. He has twice been awarded the Distinguished Honor Board President Award, the Realtor® Image Award and the Grand Strand’s REALTOR® of the Year Award in 1992 and 2001. White also serves the citizens of North Myrtle Beach as a member of City Council and as the city’s Mayor Pro Tem.

His community service spans many years of various positions including president of the North Myrtle Beach Coaches Association, North Myrtle Beach Touchdown Club, the Ocean Beach Lions Club and many other committees and commissions.
