NAMI South Carolina announces Annual Mental Health Conference: “Unity in the Community – Mental Health for All!”

NAMI South Carolina announced its 2025 Annual Mental Health Conference, themed “Unity in the Community: Mental Health for All!” The event will take place in person on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2) in Columbia, SC.
This inspiring, full-day conference brings together mental health advocates, professionals, and individuals with lived experience for a powerful day of learning, connection, and community building. Attendees can look forward to insightful keynote sessions, interactive workshops, and networking opportunities focused on mental health education, advocacy, and support.
“This year’s theme reminds us that we are stronger together,” said Laura Moss, from NAMI South Carolina. “We are excited to unite individuals from all diverse backgrounds who are passionate about improving mental wellness and breaking down stigma in our communities.”
Continuing Education Credit Information
We are pleased to announce that CEU registration is now open and the program has been approved for continuing education credits.
- Your AHEC: This program is approved for 5.5 clock hours of continuing education by Mid-Carolina AHEC, Inc. and meets the SC AHEC Continuing Education Best Practice Standards. Participants must attend 90% of the program to receive a certificate of attendance. No partial credit will be given.
- Counselors & Therapists: This program has been pre-approved for 5.5 hours of continuing education by SC AHEC under its accreditation by the SC Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Psycho-Educational Specialists.
- Social Workers: This program has been approved by the SC Board of Social Work Examiners for 5.5 clock hours of non-social work continuing education.
- Law Enforcement: is approved for 8 credit hours through the SC Criminal Justice Academy.
Peer Scholarships Available
A limited number of scholarships are available for individuals living with a mental illness. Applications for the 2025 NAMI SC Conference Peer Scholarship are now being accepted.

The conference hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn Columbia/Northeast located at 8910 Farrow Rd., Columbia, SC 29203. Attendees can take advantage of the special conference rate of $149/night (plus tax).
