National Association honors Carolina One Property Management with accreditation

December 4, 2017

The Virginia based National Association of Residential Property Managers (NARPM®) has recently bestowed the designation of Certified Residential Management Company (CRMC®) upon Carolina One Property Management. A division of real estate market leader Carolina One Real Estate Services, Carolina One Property Management is the first and only certified residential property management company in South Carolina and one of less than 50 companies in the US to receive the designation.  Carolina One Property Management, established in 2008, is the leading residential property management company in the Charleston tri-county area.

According to its website, the 30 year old NARPM® is the premiere association designed for property management professionals who know first-hand the unique challenges of managing single-family residential properties.  Additionally, NARPM® offers an effective, professional learning environment for owners of property management companies and their employees.

To qualify for accreditation, prospective companies are required to have an MPM® designee on staff; verification of 500 unit years of management experience; successful completion of an on-site visit from a NARPM® sanctioned auditor and successful completion of a rigorous audit process.

Eric Wetherington, RMP,* MPM,** is the Director and Broker-in-Charge of the 12 person staff that focuses on the day to day servicing, support and general management of the more than 800 residential properties in the program.  According to Wetherington, who currently serves as the National Treasurer of NARPM®, “I’m so proud of our team and all of their hard work that has culminated in achieving the CRMC® designation.  This honor affirms our team’s ranking among the national industry leaders in residential property management. Property owners can rest assured that our team adheres to the highest industry standards which results in a smoother process for our clients while maximizing their return on investment.”
