City of Columbia Community Development department is celebrating Community Development Week with various activities.

Monday, April 6, 2026: National Community Development week Press Conference & Proclamation Presentations
Location: Randall Avenue Park, 5103 Randall Avenue, Columbia SC 29203
Time: 10:00 a.m.
Wednesday, April 8, 2026: Day of Service in partnership with Richland County
Location: 1505 Taylor Street, Columbia, SC 29201
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The City of Columbia Community Development Department will host a Day of Service in partnership with Richland County’s Community Development Department. This day will consist of staff stuffing the Storage with essential items (hygiene products, socks, undergarments, and other basic necessities) for individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.
Friday, April 10, 2026: Community Development Block Party
Location: 9300 Laurel Street, Columbia, SC 29201
Time: 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate by checking out informational booths provided by our City of Columbia departments and enjoy local food vendors with the Office of Business Opportunities Food Truck Friday.
