CAMDEN, SC – The Mullikin Law Firm in Camden is the lead sponsor (partnering with U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers) of a coast-to-coast charity motorcycle ride, raising funds for children of deceased special-operations soldiers. The rider, Cris Valley, an active-duty U.S. Army Special Forces soldier (Green Beret), is riding a BMW R90 motorcycle from Coronado, CA to Fort Bragg, N.C. – passing through and stopping for an event in Camden, S.C. – in honor of fallen Green Beret Ryan Savard.
“This journey across the U.S. from Coronado, CA to Ft. Bragg, N.C. exemplifies and showcases the sacrifices our fallen heroes in the special operations community,” says Chad Lawson, an active-duty U.S. Army Green Beret. “Chris is riding 3,000 miles to tell our heroes’ stories, one in particular Ryan Savard, a story of duty and selfless service that transcends both the military and civilian realms. Chris’ effort to honor out fallen heroes is meant to memorialize not only Ryan’s life but the lives of all our fallen special operations soldiers.”
A team from the Mullikin Law Firm is following the motorcycle in a Chevrolet Suburban with a motorcycle trailer. Along the way, Valley is stopping in various cities and participating in pre-planned fundraisers all aimed at gaining support for – and creating awareness of – fallen soldiers. Valley is also encouraging other riders to join him along the way.
The event kickoff was held at McP’s Irish Pub in Coronado, Oct. 17. Valley arrived the following day in Phoenix, AZ. Then on to Dallas, TX; then Baton Rouge, LA; then Pensacola and Jackson, FL. He will arrive in Camden, S.C. where a BBQ fundraiser will be held at the Mullikin Law complex.
Valley will depart Camden for Fort Bragg, N.C., Oct. 31.
