Ned Tupper invited to join National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals
January 15, 2019BEAUFORT, SC – Ralph “Ned” Tupper, a partner with the law firm Tupper, Grimsley, Dean & Canaday, P.A., has been invited to join the South Carolina Chapter of the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN).
The NADN is a professional association whose membership consists of mediators and arbitrators distinguished by their hands-on experience in the field of civil/commercial conflict resolution and by their commitment to the practice of alternative dispute resolution. Membership is by invitation only, based on nominations made by both peers and litigation firms, and is limited to those found to meet stringent practice criteria who are well established as trusted neutrals within their state of practice. For more information about the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, visit www.NADN.org.
Tupper is one of just 30 South Carolina attorneys who are NADN members. He is the only member from the 14th Judicial Circuit of South Carolina, which encompasses Beaufort, Jasper, Hampton, Allendale and Colleton counties. In his practice as a mediator, Tupper has successfully mediated a wide variety of disputes. His years of litigation experience for both plaintiffs and defendants, and experience in the field of family law, help him provide insight into how a case will progress to verdict, and have made him a much sought-after mediator and arbitrator.
Tupper has practiced law in Beaufort since 1978, and has served as a part-time municipal court judge for the city of Beaufort since 1987. He has served as a Beaufort County magistrate since 2010. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers as one of the top attorneys in the state of South Carolina, and is a past president of the Charleston Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA), also an invitation-only organization. ABOTA recognizes attorneys with extensive experience as lead counsel in civil trials who have displayed skill, civility, and integrity.
Tupper received his undergraduate degree from Newberry College in 1970, and his juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1974.
