Neighborhoods across the Midlands represented at Columbia Open Studios, March 23-24, 2013

COLUMBIA, SC – March 23-24, 2013 – A true city-wide event,  the Columbia Open Studios tour – presented by 701 Center for Contemporary Art with major support from the City of Columbia –  will feature artists from neighborhoods across the metro area. This free, weekend-long tour of artists’ studios across Richland and Lexington Counties will take place on Saturday, March 23 and Sunday, March 24, 2013. Join thousands of art lovers for a rare opportunity to visit with individual artists in their private, working studios, learn about their cultural backgrounds, their tools and techniques, and how their personal stories impact their art.

Meet the artists at the official Columbia Open Studios Preview Party will be held in the Olympia Room at 701 Whaley on Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 7-9 p.m.
