January 29, 2024

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP, a full-service national law firm with offices from coast to coast, is pleased to announce Laura McDonald has joined its office in Greenville as Of Counsel.

McDonald has more than 15 years of litigation experience in complex litigation, including defending claims in the areas of toxic torts, pharmaceuticals, and medical devices.

“As an experienced litigator, Laura brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role,” said Nelson Mullins’ partner Sam Outten. “She is a welcome addition to our team and will be an asset to our clients.”

In addition to her legal practice, McDonald is also a licensed realtor with nearly a decade of experience in real estate sales. Prior to joining Nelson Mullins, McDonald worked for one of the largest real estate brokerages in the Upstate where she served as Senior Vice President of Sales and Broker in Charge.

“I am grateful to join Nelson Mullins and work alongside such a high caliber team of litigators,” McDonald said. “This is an exciting new chapter and I look forward to expanding our reach and providing additional support and value to our growing roster of clients.”

McDonald graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1998 and received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in 1994.
