Networking event, “The Meetup,” prioritizes connections over business cards, bans the phrase “What Do You Do?”

The Meetup is an interactive networking event that hopes to create a space for real connections between business owners, creatives, and entrepreneurs. This ticketed event will take place on Monday, July 22, 2024 at Studio Bloom in West Columbia.
Creators Shayla Tabor and Adrianna Eargle created The Meetup after being disappointed in the stale nature of networking events. They hope this event will create a space for business owners, creatives, and entrepreneurs to engage deeply with one another and create genuine connections instead of simply passing business cards.
This event will feature an interactive networking setting where attendees are prompted to get to know each other, an opportunity for professional headshots by Shayla and Adrianna, a chance to hear from Anna Bullock from Anna Katherine Creative in Greenville, S.C., and more.
Tickets to the event are available through the event website, staborstudios.com/the-meetup, and are $25.
