New Residence Inn opens across from Lexington Medical Center

A new 108 room Residence Inn by Marriott is now open for business in Lexington County on Highway 378, right across the street from the Lexington Medical Center. “We are excited to have the opportunity to service the growing needs of the greater Columbia Area,” announced Clancy Cipkala, Managing Partner of the hotel. “Our hotel is ideally located off of I-26 and only minutes away from downtown, I-20, Lexington business districts, and of course Lexington Medical Center,” stated Cipkala, the 2017 South Carolina Hotelier of the Year.
The Residence Inn features oversized king studio, one bedroom, and two bedroom two bathroom suites. All suites have a full kitchen which include a full size refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, stove top, and dishes for cooking and dining. For guests, the hotel also offers a complimentary hot breakfast buffet, an enlarged fitness room overlooking the outdoor pool, complimentary grocery delivery service and 24 hour market. The Residence Inn Mix offers guests a chance to socialize and relax while enjoying complimentary food and beverages Monday- Wednesday evenings. The property also features a beautiful patio with outdoor fire pit and a meeting room which can seat up to 45 guests. As Marriott advertises, it’s not just a room, it’s a Residence. Cipkala stated, “We are excited to be the first Marriott in the Lexington market and look forward to housing both our business and leisure guests”. Lisa Heath, General Manager for the Residence Inn adds “we will add 40-50 new jobs to the area and provide a large tax base to the Midlands.”
