New Weight Watchers meeting planned at Chapin Town Hall

February 19, 2017

After letting residents know last month that the Town of Chapin was exploring the option of becoming a host site for Weight Watchers, the strong response has helped secure a regular meeting date and time for a daytime Chapin meeting. The Town will host a midday meeting on Mondays from 12:00 -1:00 pm in the Community Room at Town Hall.

The registration meeting will be held on Monday, March 27, at noon, and the trained Weight Watcher leader hold a registration where she weighs in members, has them fill out paperwork, tells her personal story with Weight Watchers and collects payment. Then the following week will be week one. At this meeting she will provide an orientation of the At Work program and offer materials tailored for each person based on their profiles. The series will last for 10 weeks.

The town needs to have at least 15 prepaid people to confirm the meeting series at Town Hall. The cost of the 10-week series is $114. Interested participants can reserve their space by bringing a check made payable to Weigh Watchers for $114 to Town Hall or mail to PO Box 183, Chapin, SC 29036. Be sure to mark ATTN: Weight Watchers on the envelope and it must be received by March 20.

The town also discovered that Lake Murray Presbyterian Church hosts a Thursday evening Weight Watchers meeting, beginning at 6:00 pm for those residents who may prefer an evening meeting time.
