Newberry College Announces No Increase in Tuition and Fees for the 2009-2010 School Year

February 19, 2009

NEWBERRY, SC – February 19, 2009 – Newberry College students and families can breathe a sigh of relief after this past weekend’s meeting of the Newberry College Board of Trustees.

The Board, citing tough economic times for our students and their families, voted unanimously to not raise tuition and fees for next year (school year 2009-2010).

President Mitchell Zais said, “We are enormously pleased that Newberry College is in the position to hold tuition constant when other institutions are imposing exorbitant increases in this time of economic stress.”

Tuition at Newberry College this year is $20,500 with fees adding up to $970 for returning students and $1,970 for first time students. Newberry College offers generous scholarships and loans to offset a considerable portion of the cost.
