Nickelodeon Theatre Names New Members to Board of Directors
October 14, 2014COLUMBIA, SC – The Nickelodeon Theatre, South Carolina’s only non-profit art house theater and a leading voice for media arts, has elected new members to its Board of Directors. These members will serve three-year terms.
Scott Middleton – Middleton is one of the foremost leaders and experts in the field of long-term care, the founder and CEO of Agape Senior, South Carolina’s premier senior health care organization. He is a practicing Methodist minister, consultant, speaker, philanthropist and author of Parent Talk, the Nine Conversations You Need to Have with Your Aging Parents. This will be his first term on the board.
Scottie Smith – Scottie Smith is a Brokerage Associate at Colliers International South Carolina with clients in the retail, restaurant and hospitality industries. She is a graduate of the University of South Carolina where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Real Estate. Scottie is a member of the Junior League of Columbia and has volunteered for a range of organizations including Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Ronald McDonald House and Sister Care. This will be her first term on the board.
“As we’re looking ahead at exciting new developments, including the renovation of our second-floor theater and the implementation of our strategic plan we’ve developed with the help of the Kennedy Center’s DeVos Institute of Arts Management, these board members are tied to the community and Columbia’s growing urban core and have talents that will greatly benefit the Nickelodeon Theatre,” said Andy Smith, Executive Director of the Nickelodeon Theatre.
These members join current Nickelodeon Theatre Board of Directors members Tracy Jones, Bob Mason, Wendi Nance, Lynn Stokes-Murray, Lemuel Watson, Chris Controne, Rick Cutter, James E Smith, Jr., Sam Johnson, Amos Disasa, John P. Boyd, April Kelly, Duncan S. McIntosh, Anne Postic, Walton Selig and Elizabeth Reardon.
