Nominations Open for the 2026 Duke Energy Citizenship & Service Award
December 8, 2025The Laurens County Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award—an honor that recognizes individuals whose commitment to helping others strengthens and uplifts our community.
Presented annually, the Duke Energy Citizenship and Service Award pays tribute to those who use their time, talents, and compassion to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others, whether through community involvement or service in the workplace. These individuals help foster a culture of giving back, inspiring others to step forward and contribute to the greater good.
Chamber President & CEO Dabs Davis emphasized the importance of celebrating those who lead by example.
“This award highlights the everyday heroes whose dedication brings our community closer together,” Davis said. “When people give of themselves—quietly, consistently, and with heart—they create a ripple effect of service that strengthens Laurens County. We are proud to recognize those who make that kind of difference.”
The 2026 recipient will be honored at the 47th Annual Chamber Dinner and Awards on February 5, 2026.
Community members are encouraged to nominate someone who embodies the spirit of citizenship and service.
