Bridget Laird, CEO, WINGS
WINGS offers high-quality social emotional learning for students in Title I schools. Their program has been so successful locally that they are expanding their reach by empowering others to use their social emotional learning best practices. They do this through Workshops, Partner Projects, and Resources for youth-serving organizations and schools that want to integrate social emotional learning into their program time.
Today, they operate regional programs at nine Title I elementary schools and serve 1,160 kids every day through their afterschool program.
Bridget Laird has been with WINGS since 1998 working alongside WINGS’ spirited founder, Ginny Deerin. She has helped to develop all aspects of the organization, from program/curriculum development to spearheading grant and research applications to growth strategies, replication, and scaling. Bridget took over as CEO in January 2011.
