Each year, over 11,000 children in Berkeley and Charleston counties are abused.
The Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center is committed to creating a community where children are safe from abuse and trauma. To accomplish this goal, they offer training and programs geared towards strengthening the community response when there is a concern for child abuse or trauma.
In May of 2019, they will be expanding their capacity by expanding to a second location that will be built on Upper King Street in downtown Charleston. This will complement their location in Mount Pleasant.
