SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition was established in July 1994 by the successful merger of Spartanburg County SAFE Homes Network and the the Council on Sexual Assault (COSA).
SAFE Homes-Rape Crisis Coalition provides temporary emergency shelter for victims of domestic violence and their dependent children for up to 60 days. At the end of their time, their stay can be extended by 30 days upon approval from the Director. They offer individualized services to each adult and child who seeks shelter from us, including legal advocacy, individual and group therapy, and a peer support group. Some of the new programs offered include art therapy and yoga.
SHRCC is a private, nonprofit, tax-exempt United Way of the Piedmont partner agency under Section 501(C) (3) of the IRS Code. Donations to SHRCC are tax deductible.
