Juanita Wright, Chief Executive Officer, Welvista

Founded in 1991, Welvista is a 501(c)3 organization that offers two main program ares: prescription assistance and pediatric dentistry.

Prescription Assistance

In 2018, Welvista filled more than 291,000 free prescriptions in the treatment of chronic disease, at an average wholesale price of more than $184 million. Welvista partners with eight pharmaceutical companies, who donate brand name medications, making Welvista one of the largest mail-order pharmacies in the nation. It provides free prescription medications for the uninsured.

Pediatric Dentistry

Smiles for a Lifetime (SMILES), a division of Welvista, is a non-profit, school-based pediatric dental program providing preventive and restorative services to school-aged children in grades K-12 in rural South Carolina counties. The centers are located on school grounds and operate during school hours.
