The mission of Smokefree SC is to protect South Carolina citizens, adults and youth, from the harm of smoking and tobacco-use. They accomplish this through public and professional education, partnerships with stakeholder organizations, and advocacy efforts supporting local and statewide policy and legislation.
In May 2019, the South Carolina Tobacco-Free Collaborative was renamed Smokefree SC to become more easily recognizable throughout the state and expand its focus areas to include youth vaping prevention education.
Smoke-free and tobacco-free policies can improve the health of your community by reducing exposure to secondhand smoke, modeling healthy behaviors, and reducing litter.
