The Sisters of Charity Foundation is a ministry of the Sisters of Charity Health System. Since 1996, the Foundation has been addressing the root causes and effects of poverty in South Carolina strategically, using our own resources to reduce poverty through action, advocacy and leadership.

Since its inception, the Sisters of Charity Foundation has:

• Distributed more than $67 million to help alleviate poverty in South Carolina
• Created numerous partnerships that mobilize the resources to reduce the impact of poverty in our state
• Distributed more than 2938 grants to non-profits working to reduce poverty in lives of individuals and families in SC
• Invested more than $7 million in education related grants.
