NORD Family Foundation continues contribution to MIRCI’s Supportive Housing Program for Youth and Housing and Homeless Services

The Nord Family Foundation awarded a $50,000 grant to the Mental Illness Recovery Center, Inc. (MIRCI) to support programs that serve mentally ill, homeless individuals in the greater Columbia and Lexington areas.
The grant will help fund MIRCI’s Supportive Housing Program for Youth, which will support development of healthy living habits and independent living skills enabling youth experiencing homelessness to live and thrive independently, and create a model for housing and services that can be replicated across the community.
The grant will also allow MIRCI’s Housing and Homeless Services to continue providing Homeless Outreach, Supportive Housing and Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) services to individuals and families who are or have been homeless, and have a mental illness and/or substance use disorder. Last year, MIRCI served 1,286 people through its Supportive Housing Program for Youth, and Housing and Homeless Services programs.
