Northwest Recreation Center Receives Facelift

SPARTANBURG, SC – April 25, 2011 – The Northwest Recreation Center located at 701 Saxon Avenue has received a facelift. Internal upgrades include new ceiling and floor tiles and painting of the entire facility. A wellness room takes the place of the prior weight room with interior upgrades and the addition of treadmills, elliptical machines, free weights, ab machine and a universal weight machine. The existing kitchen equipment was replaced with new gas appliances with many upgrades to the counter equipment. Externally, the center received a fascade upfit.
Wellness Center memberships are available for just $15 monthly. The Center is now offering classes in YOGA from 6-7pm on Mondays and Zumba® fitness from 6-7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. These classes are available for $5 per class or FREE with a wellness membership.
