Northwestern Mutual receives top workplaces award in South Carolina for seven consecutive years

June 3, 2024

Energage, an employee survey firm, named Northwestern Mutual as a Top Workplace in South Carolina for the seventh consecutive year. Northwestern Mutual’s South Carolina offices were ranked fourth out of the 20 mid-sized companies with 150-299 employees who received the statewide award. A leading financial security company, Northwestern Mutual has approximately 155 financial advisors, representatives and support staff in Greenville, Spartanburg, Charleston and Columbia offices.

Top Workplaces in South Carolina is an annual list based on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC. The anonymous survey measures 24 drivers of engaged cultures that are critical to the success of any organization, including alignment, execution and connection. Northwestern Mutual also received special recognition from Energage in 2024 as a company where senior management is “Clued-In.”

“Our financial representatives help clients every day protect and plan for their financial future,” Chad Dowdy, managing director of Northwestern Mutual – Columbia. “Sometimes we work with several generations within one family and nothing is more rewarding that helping clients navigate so many wonderful life events.”

In addition to the Top Workplaces in South Carolina recognition, Northwestern Mutual has also been recognized nationally with numerous workplace awards – including several that exemplify the company’s desire to champion greater diversity, equity and inclusion – such as:
• Four consecutive perfect scores on the Disability Equality Index (2019-2022)
