O’Neal Inc. Breaks Ground on $200 Million Mitsubishi Electric Power Products, Inc. Manufacturing Plant

GREENVILLE, SC – May 11, 2011 – O’Neal, Inc., an integrated design and construction firm with its headquarters in Greenville, officially broke ground May 10 in Memphis, Tenn., on a $200 million project with Mitsubishi Electric Power Products Inc.
MEPPI, which is based in Pittsburgh, Pa., is building a new grassroots power transformer and power components manufacturing plant in Memphis’ Rivergate Industrial Port. O’Neal will provide Engineer-Procure-Construction services for the project, which is expected to result in job creation at O’Neal’s three offices and at the Memphis site.

The 350,000-square-foot plant is expected to start production in Spring 2013. The unique, employee-friendly facility will feature innovations in product testing, product flow, and customer education unlike what is typically found in large-scale manufacturing environments.
