CHARLESTON, SC – May 19, 2011 – Outdoor Channel, America’s Leader in Outdoor TV, today announced the launch of the network on Comcast Cable Systems in the Charleston, South Carolina market, effective immediately.
Outdoor Channel is thrilled to expand upon our strategic relationship with Comcast as we bring our genre-leading content and personalities to Charleston, South Carolina in both standard and high definition, said Tom Hornish, Chief Operating Officer, Outdoor Channel. Outdoor Channel is the only full-time network in the traditional outdoor genre to broadcast in 100 percent native HD and now, Charleston residents will be able to appreciate the picturesque sights of our rugged adventures in the pristine widescreen format.

Outdoor Channel is now available as part of Comcast’s Digital Preferred and Digital Sports Entertainment tiers on Channel 731. Additionally, Outdoor Channel HD is available on Channel 392 as part of the provider’s HD Digital Preferred and HD Digital Sports Entertainment tiers.
