Outdoor movies return to Falls Park in September

September 4, 2017

Moviegoers can enjoy watching a variety of classic film favorites under the stars at the City of Greenville’s Fidelity Investments Moonlight Movies. The free series returns to Falls Park Wednesday evenings in September for a four-week run. The series will also feature a special Halloween-themed movie on October 25 and a holiday-themed movie on December 6.

“In conjunction with the City of Greenville, we are very excited to once again sponsor the Moonlight Movies outdoor classic film series,” said Mike Doucette, Vice President and Branch Manager, Fidelity Investments. “We have some great movies lined up for September, so please join us for some family fun under the moonlight!”

The films begin at sundown (approximately 7:30 p.m.), but moviegoers are invited to come early for prime viewing spots and to participate in movie-themed trivia. A special costume contest will be held on September 27 for the showing of The Princess Bride, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.

Poppington’s Popcorn will be on site every Wednesday and food trucks Ellada Kouzina, The Chuck Truck, Keepin’ it Fresh and Meat’n in the Middle will rotate throughout the season. Individuals consuming alcohol at the event must purchase a $1 wristband. For more information about the movie series, visit gvilleevents.com or follow the event on social media.
