Padgett Communications established
February 28, 2019Padgett S. Mozingo, APR announces the establishment of Padgett Communications, a consulting firm specializing in communications strategy, public relations, event planning and social media for nonprofits, small businesses and professional services.
Mozingo has nearly 30 years of public relations and communications experience. She was most recently director of communications for Family Connection of South Carolina, a statewide nonprofit that works to make connections, raise awareness and promote inclusion for those with disabilities and special healthcare needs.
Previously, she spent 14 years as marketing and communications manager at the nationally recognized Richland Library. During that time, she led an award-winning rebranding effort and an awareness campaign that resulted in the passage of a $59 million bond referendum for capital projects and enhancements at all 11 library locations.
A graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in journalism and mass communications, her career has also included serving as the communications director for the South Carolina Bar and account executive/director of publications for Hendricks and Co.
A past president of the South Carolina Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America, she was recognized with the organization’s 1999 PR Practitioner of the Year and 1991 Rookie of the Year awards. She was also named to the top 20 under 40 Class of 2008 by The State newspaper. Mozingo has volunteered for several community organizations, including United Way of the Midlands and Harbison West Elementary School, and her family participates in several fundraising efforts for Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.
