Palmetto Goodwill announces new Board Officers and Members
June 7, 2019On May 30th Palmetto Goodwill held its annual Chair’s Reception in which new Board Officers and Board Members were introduced and assumed their positions on the Board of Directors.
For the 2019-2020 term, Board Officers are: Board Chair – Lee Deas (Obviouslee Marketing), Vice Chair – Chris Harvey (Charlestowne Hotels), Treasurer – Kelley Jarrett (Blackbaud), Secretary – Herbert Drayton III (Vertical Holdings), Immediate Past Chair – Sean Sykes (Urban Electric), and Robert Smith, President & CEO of Palmetto Goodwill.
Rob Phillips with GrandSouth Bank replaced Jimmy Hallett from Synovus Bank as a Board Member. He joins Board incumbents Rudy Gill (United Community Bank), Jamie Lynch (EnviroSmart), Nina Magnesson (BoomTown), Greg Mitchell (Horry-Georgetown Technical College), Dixie Norris (South Street Partners), Col. Tom Philipkosky (The Citadel), Allison Pickhardt (NFP) and Doug Snyder (LS3P).
Now in its 40th year of operation, Palmetto Goodwill is one of 160 independent Goodwill organizations located throughout North America. Palmetto Goodwill is a not-for-profit social enterprise whose mission is to help people overcome barriers to employment through education, job training and employment services. Last year Palmetto Goodwill helped place over 3,000 people into new jobs and provided services to over 15,000 individuals in need.
