Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital wins Best of the Best at the International Interior Design Association Awards
April 3, 2009COLUMBIA, SC – April 3, 2009 – The Georgia chapter of the International Interior Design Association recently awarded Palmetto Health’s Children Hospital ‘Best of the Best’ forum design in the healthcare category. Stanley Beaman & Sears, Inc. project team received honors on the award.
Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital, which opened in 2008, is the only freestanding children’s hospital in South Carolina. The six-floor hospital has themed floor designs including aquatic, rainforest, artic and grasslands etc. The design of the hospital is intended to provide a welcoming environment for the children and nurture families during their time in the hospital. Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital cares for more than 82,000 children a year.
