Palmetto Health Foundation's 20th Annual Festival of Trees November 21-23
October 15, 2008COLUMBIA, SC – October 15, 2008 – The holidays will kick off with Palmetto Health Foundation’s 20th Annual Festival of Trees November 21-23 at the new, freestanding Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital located at 7 Medical Park, Palmetto Health Richland, in Columbia.
Festival of Trees will be a weekend celebration featuring a three-day silent auction of decorated trees, wreaths, garlands and centerpieces. Cookies for Santa platters painted by current and former patients of Children’s Hospital will also be featured silent auction items. Silent auction proceeds will benefit Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.
Festival of Trees will begin with a preview gala on Friday, November 21, 6:30-10 p.m. at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. Those in attendance will have the opportunity to bid on items during the silent auction that will begin that evening. Silent auction items can be secured at the take-home price that evening.
Festival of Trees will be open to the public on Saturday, November 22, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, November 23, noon-4 p.m. at Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital. Families can enjoy tree and wreath displays, children’s choirs and other entertainment as well as photos with Santa. Visitors may also participate in the silent auction on Saturday and Sunday.
