Palmetto Primary Care Physicians opens family medicine practice in Mount Pleasant, welcomes Dr. Ann Gregory Kelly

Palmetto Primary Care Physicians (PPCP), the largest independent multi-specialty physicians group in South Carolina, has opened for business in Mount Pleasant. Their Mount Pleasant location, Palmetto Primary Care Physicians – Island Court, is the physicians group’s 31st medical practice in the Lowcountry and 43rd state wide.
The new family medicine practice officially opened on Monday, December 14, 2020 and is located off of the Isle of Palms Connector at 1200 Two Island Court, Suite E. Ann Gregory Kelly, MD, a board certified Family Medicine physician with experience in behavioral health and family care, who joined the group in November will head the new Mount Pleasant practice.
Dr. Ann Gregory Kelly graduated from the College of Charleston in 2011 and later received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine. After medical school, Dr. Kelly completed her residency through the Middlesex Health Family Medicine Residency Program.
Throughout the years, Dr. Kelly has been actively involved with organizations such as East Hampton High School: Series on Reproductive Health, Health Enhancement Community, and assisting at a rural clinic in El Peten, Guatemala through Concern America. She is certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and Neonatal Resuscitation.
“I am excited to have the privilege to serve the residents of Mount Pleasant and the Barrier Island communities with high quality primary care and collaborate with the best health care resources in our community,” states Dr. Kelly.
She continues with explaining why it was important for her to join Palmetto Primary Care Physicians, “As a physician, my goal is to contribute to my community and leave a long-term impact on my patients. One of the biggest determinants of how big of an impact I can make is in where I choose to practice. While new to Mount Pleasant, Palmetto Primary Care Physicians has a history of serving Lowcountry patients for over 20 years and is known for their high quality of care. I wanted to bring that same quality-driven focus on health care into Mount Pleasant.”
Dr. Kelly is currently accepting patients of all ages at the new Palmetto Primary Care Physicians – Island Court office and is offering same-day appointments.
