PalmettoPride to host a press conference to celebrate 2025 Art Contest winners and announce its SC Sweep campaign

PalmettoPride, South Carolina’s anti-litter organization, is inviting legislators and members of the media to attend a press conference where the organization will celebrate the winners of the Governor’s Art Contest on Litter Prevention and announce its SC Sweep campaign.

Press conference speakers will include:

  • Pamela Evette, Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina
  • Sarah Lyles, Executive Director of PalmettoPride
  • Isabella Corretjer, Youth Ambassador

When: Thursday, March 27, at 11 a.m.

About the Governor’s Art Contest on Litter Prevention

This annual litter awareness art competition is for all South Carolina K-5th grade students. This fun and educational competition empowers students to create artwork illustrating the theme Litter Trashes Everyone.

About PalmettoPride’s SC Sweep Campaign

PalmettoPride’s SC Sweep campaign invites South Carolinians to join in the effort to keep the Palmetto State beautiful by picking up litter. This statewide initiative encourages citizens, along with PalmettoPride and its partners to work together in preserving the natural beauty of South Carolina. This statewide campaign will take place April 25 – May 4.
