Paseo brings authentic Spanish tapas to The Commons
March 20, 2025Phase II of Beloved Greenville Food Hall Nears Completion
The Commons announced the opening of Paseo, a vibrant new Spanish tapas restaurant, located in Phase II of the beloved food hall. Paseo offers a wide array of traditional and innovative tapas, expertly prepared using the finest ingredients.
Paseo is spearheaded by Daniel López and Camilo Franco, two friends united by a passion for Spanish cuisine and the belief that food is a connector. The idea emerged after the two friends began cooking together for Sunday dinners, realizing how well they worked with each other and how food brought their families closer.
“We are excited to bring a piece of Spain to Greenville,” said Daniel, co-owner of Paseo. “Our goal is to offer guests a genuine Spanish dining experience, where they can enjoy traditional tapas in a warm, inviting atmosphere. We believe in the power of food to bring people together, and Paseo reflects that vision.”
Camilo, co-owner of Paseo, added, “The flavors of Spain are diverse and rich, and we’ve focused on using high-quality ingredients to craft dishes that showcase the best of Spanish cuisine. From classic tapas to modern interpretations, we aim to offer something for everyone.”
The menu at Paseo features a mix of classic Spanish tapas, from patatas bravas and gambas al ajillo to more contemporary offerings inspired by regional flavors. In addition to an extensive selection of tapas, Paseo offers a carefully curated Spanish wine list.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Paseo to The Commons,” said George Dewey, president and CEO of Aston. “Their commitment to quality and authenticity aligns perfectly with our vision for The Commons as a destination that celebrates diverse culinary experiences and fosters a strong sense of community.”
Paseo follows the recent opening of Leo’s Pizza in Phase II of The Commons. The restaurants join a variety of tenants in Phase II of The Commons which introduced popular eateries like LaRue Fine Chocolates, Indigo Kitchen, Kuka Juice, and MooHogz Craft BBQ.
Paseo’s space features a contemporary design, with an inviting bar area and an open kitchen where guests can experience the preparation of their meals. Hours of operation are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
