Paving the Path Forward: Laurens County Trails Association Defines Its Future Vision
October 22, 2025The Laurens County Trails Association (LCTA) recently held a productive strategic planning session, marking an important step in further defining its mission to promote outdoor recreation and connectivity throughout Laurens County.
Led by board member Justin Benfield, Chief Executive Officer of Prisma Health Laurens County Hospital and Hillcrest Hospital, the session brought together community members and stakeholders for an open discussion about the organization’s goals and direction. Participants shared valuable ideas and insights that will help further define the group’s purpose and guide its future action plans.
“Today’s session was all about collaboration and vision,” Benfield said. “We’re building a roadmap to ensure that Laurens County’s trails continue to grow as spaces that connect people with nature, health, and community.”
Follow-up sessions are planned to continue refining LCTA’s objectives, with exciting developments already on the horizon. By the end of November, the organization will unveil a redesigned website, an interactive trail brochure, and new social media platforms to keep residents informed and inspired to explore local trails.
With energy and engagement high, the Laurens County Trails Association is paving the way—one path at a time—for a healthier and more connected community.
