Peace Center to screen 2017 OSCAR® nominated short films
January 27, 2017The Peace Center will screen the 2017 OSCAR® Nominated Short Films – Live Action, Animation and Documentary – in the Gunter Theatre, Feb. 17-19.
Friday at 8:30 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m. and Sunday at noon
Live Action screening runs approximately 130 minutes and includes:
- Ennemis Intérieurs
- La Femme Et Le TGV
- Silent Nights
- Sing (Mindenki)
- Timecode
Friday at 6 p.m., Saturday at 10 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., and Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
Animation screening runs for approximately 90 minutes and includes:
- Blind Vaysha
- Borrowed Time
- Pear Cider and Cigarettes – This film is not suitable for children. It contains violence, language, sex and drug use. It will be shown last, allowing patrons who wish to exit the theater time to do so before the film starts.
- Pearl
- Piper
- A selection of additional films will be added.
Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 6 p.m.
Documentary screening runs for approximately 150 minutes and includes:
- 4.1 Miles
- Extremis
- Joe’s Violin
- The White Helmets
- Watani: My Homeland
The 2017 OSCAR® Awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26.
