Pick Me! SC Annual Pet Adoption Initiative is Underway – LC Animal Shelter Participating

It’s time to unleash the love! Pick Me SC Annual Adoption event is happening now.

Pick Me! SC returns to a shelter or Petco near you from July 14th to 23rd. More than 45 shelters, rescue organizations, and Petco locations across the state are uniting for this monumental adoption affair – the largest of its kind in the entire country.

The Laurens County Animal Shelter is participating in the event.

Shelter hours for this event are Monday through Friday, noon until 5 pm, Saturdays from 9am until 2:00 pm, and Sundays from 2:00 until 4:00 pm. Other times are available by appointment. There is no adoption fee during this time frame so the time is now to find your loyal companion.

All adoptions include microchipping, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and preventative meds for heart worm/flea/ticks.

“This year’s goal is to save 2,000 animals,” said Chief Project Officer of No Kill South Carolina 2024, Abigail Appleton, PMP, CAWA. “During summer, animal shelters and rescue organizations face their greatest challenges, and our mission is clear: to find as many dogs and cats safe, loving homes as possible.”
