Plan West Ashley Draft Report Available for Public Comment

The City of Charleston and West Ashley Revitalization Commission have published the Plan West Ashley Draft Report. Citizens are encouraged to review the draft report and provide comments. The report is available and feedback can be provided online at www.planwestashley.com/engage.

Opportunities for citizens to provide comments in-person will be scheduled throughout September, October, November and December. Details of the September events for public input can be found in the schedule as follows:

 

Public Workshop, The Schoolhouse, 720 Magnolia Road

Monday, September 186 to 8 p.m.

Members of the Dover Kohl planning team, City staff, and the West Ashley Revitalization Commission will receive public comments on the draft report. The public session is a drop-in format.  The West Ashley Commission workshop session is from 2 to 5 p.m.

 

Tuesday Morning Coffee Sessions, WildFlour Pastry, 1750 Savannah Highway

September 19 and 268 to 10 a.m.

 

Wednesday Evening Farmers Market Sessions, Ackerman Park, 55 Sycamore Avenue

September 13, 20 and 27, 3 to 7 p.m.

 

Thursday Working Lunch Sessions, City Planning Department, 2 George Street, 3rd floor

September 14, 21 and 28, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

 

Hard copies of the Plan West Ashley draft report are also available for review at the Hurd/St. Andrews Library, West Ashley Library, Main Library, Deming Park Community Center, Charleston Tennis Center, Bees Landing Rec Center, WL Stephens Aquatic Center, City Hall, City Planning Department and City Permit Center.
