Polar Express VIP Experience Coming to Downtown Laurens

All aboard, Laurens! A special touch of Christmas magic is coming to the Square as Downtown Laurens and the City of Laurens team up to bring families a brand-new holiday adventure: The Polar Express VIP Experience.

Eight Golden Tickets have been hidden throughout Downtown Laurens and inside participating shops. Young explorers strolling the Square may just stumble upon one of these festive surprises—and if they do, they’re in for an unforgettable holiday treat.

Each lucky child who finds a Golden Ticket will receive VIP access to the showing of The Polar Express on December 22 at the Capitol Theatre. The exclusive experience includes a special treat box filled with holiday snacks, a fun surprise item, and reserved VIP seating.

Main Street Laurens Director Brad Abercrombie said the initiative is all about creating joy and connection in the heart of the city. “Downtown Laurens is especially magical this time of year, and we wanted to find a fun way to make that magic come alive for our youngest visitors. The Golden Tickets add excitement to every stroll on the Square, and we can’t wait to welcome the VIP winners.”

Families are encouraged to bundle up, enjoy the charm of Downtown Laurens, and keep their eyes peeled as they shop and explore. The Golden Tickets are waiting—ready to spark joy, adventure, and a little extra Christmas wonder this season.

Even if you don’t find one of the Golden Tickets, you and your family can come enjoy the movie. The event is free and the move begins at 5:30 p.m.
