Presbyterian College Faculty Member is Author of Article Recognized by National Science Teachers Association

CLINTON, SC – May 16, 2012 – Dr. Julie Brockman Smart, assistantprofessor of education at Presbyterian College has co-authored anarticle which has been selected by the National Science TeachersAssociation (NSTA) Research Committee in conjunction with the ScienceEducator editorial board to be featured readings on the NSTA website.

The article, “Tracking Perceived and Observed Growth of InquiryPractice: A Formative Plan to Improve Professional DevelopmentExperiences” was a collaboration effort of Dr. Jeff C. Marshall, Dr.Smart, and Dr. Robert M. Horton. The NSTA research committee selectedthis article to be included in a list of suggested summer readings forSummer, 2012.

“It is quite an honor to have your research recognized by the NSTA,”said Dr. Debra Smith Lee, associate professor of education and executivedirector of teacher education. “We are pleased to have Dr. Smart’soutstanding work recognized and listed as suggested summer reading forothers in the field.”
