Presbyterian College Orchestra to Present ‘Reflections’ Concert Featuring Diverse Classical Repertoire

The Presbyterian College Orchestra, under the direction of Dr. Giovani Briguente, will present “Reflections,” an evening of classical music, at Presbyterian College in Clinton. The performance, scheduled for Thursday, November 21 at 7:30 PM in Edmunds Hall, is free and open to the public. Audience members are encouraged to come in casual attire and enjoy a relaxing evening of music.

The carefully curated program includes an exciting variety of pieces showcasing the talents of the orchestra across a range of musical styles and periods. Featured works include Verdi’s Allegretto from Falstaff and Mahler’s emotional Adagiettofrom Symphony No. 5. The orchestra will also perform the vibrant Capriccio Espagnol, Alborada by Rimsky-Korsakov, alongside the haunting Adagio by Albinoni.

Adding to the dynamic program, the audience can expect The Abandoned Funhouse by contemporary composer Brian Balmages, Adoration by Florence Price, Tchaikovsky’s charming selections from Album for the Young, and the lively second movement of J.S. Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto No. 3.
